Delicious Fresh Vegetarian Food that’s Good For Everyone in Phoenix, Arizona

Hello and thank you for visiting community cuisine – the place to get your healthy, affordable and delicious food.

I am your community cook. That’s something like a personal chef for a group of people who eat similar foods. I am happy to have the opportunity to serve vegetarian food in Phoenix AZ.

My community of customers likes food made from scratch with fresh, nutrient dense ingredients, mostly organically grown and of local source if possible. Therefore, I use a great variety of plant based ingredients, such as vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds and a wide range of spices and herbs. My customers tell me that eating such a spectrum of plant based food helps them with health and weight issues and they enjoy the richness of flavors.

I love feeding people. It is a very personal thing for me to make the food you eat and I feel privileged to provide it to you. It makes my life meaningful to contribute to your well being and enjoyment by making healthy foods tasty and fun to eat.

There is a more serious side to my love of feeding people. I am acutely aware of how many people in our city live in food insecurity. As many as one out of seven seniors, one out of four children may go to bed hungry on any given day in the our beautiful Valley of the Sun. I believe that most people are interested in improving this grueling statistic that consists of many individual tragedies, but may not know how.

On my search for a way to engage in a solution, I became intrigued by the concept of the “One World Everybody Eats Café”. I believe our awareness needs to grow to shift from a problematic situation to one that works, so I’m planning to start such a community café myself. This Café is a place to practice new attitudes towards food that allows us to to address the issues of hunger, food waste and health in a new way. I see the Community Café as a place where one comes to eat not just to satisfy one’s appetite, but also take an active part in our community. My invitation to you is to participate in what I have to offer in any way that meets your needs.

Hello Ingrid! I love your wonderful ideas and thoughts you have on everyone needs to eat. It is so true that so many people go hungry and don’t have the financial ability to buy food and prepare it. How does your food once prepared get to those who are in need or want to purchase your food? Blessings, love and gratitude for your kind heart. <3

Hi Cheryl, thanks for your feedback! This is Daniel, Ingrid’s husband. At this point we have cooked food for people who had an immediate need to get fed because of their current situation i.e. there were sick, just gave birth or any other situation in which we thought having our food would make a difference. Other than that people join us for community dinner: to get fed… no questions ask. It’s a pay-as-you-can dinner and we never check how much people give. We often have left overs and end up giving those to volunteers (who we always need to setup and clean up community dinner). We are always improving what we do… this is where we are at as of now.
I hope that answers your question. Cheers, Daniel

Thank you Ingrid and Team for the always delicious, creative meals! I so appreciate the concern about the quality and nutrition of the food you provide and I love that you are always thinking of new ideas like the 7 layer/large salads (amazing!!). I’m now a soup convert, a fennel lover, a cabbage lover (who knew 🙂 and there are too many other favorites to mention.

Ingrid & Daniel, you are truly kind with huge hearts and passion. Thanks for all that you do!

This was my 1st week ordering food through Your Community Cook. It was amazing. I work long days and it was nice to have healthy vegetarian meals already prepared. I order enough for the entire week. I have recommended this site to many of my friends.

  11. I cannot express how grateful and humbled I was by chancing upon you, simply by looking for healthful food while at a real estate convention this past weekend where all they offered was fat-laden, sugar doused JUNK. And then I see how you care so deeply about others and give so much of yourselves, asking nothing in return. I was truly humbled by what I saw. I promised you that if I could photograph you I would post it in my Facebook page. I did that, and I placed your website there, too and told people that when in Phoenix they had to go visit you and eat the ONLY good food they will experience while at the Convention Center! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and for what you do for our fellow human beings!

There are no words to express the gratitude that is in my heart for the love and passion that Ingrid puts into her cooking. Recently a friend shared the with me and I was blown away that I was able to get a weeks worth of meals for my husband and I for less that $100. But my amazement continued as each day we began to feel stronger and more energetic. Our weight is decreasing our blood sugars are decreasing and people are commenting on how much better we are looking. I can think clearer which is important as I am currently working on my masters degree. People ask if we are dieting and I tell them no, we are just eating good wholesome food made with love by Ingrid. The food is full of flavor and beautiful to look at. I have been telling all my friends and family to come and dine. The food is amazing and the service is too. I love the Sunday Community Dinner. Ingrid thank you and promise that you will continue with your dream because you are amazing and you have given us the chance that we needed to learn the benefits of good wholesome food. Thank you
    Love always,
    Trish and Fabio Connelly
