    I love this food! Colorful, yummy, healthful and can taste the love.. that chocolate pie is outrageously yummy, and all those vegetables, already cooked and prepared! Baklava, noodle dishes, and all vegan. Thanks for the amazing food you provide, so grateful.

    A couple of years ago I stated that I’ve been ordering from Ingrid’s Community Cuisine for a couple of years. That’s not quite accurate!!
    Actually, I began joining the Monday Evening Dinners since almost the beginning of your being a presence in Downtown Phoenix about 13(?) years ago, when my good friend, Richard Starling, told me about you, Ingrid and Daniel, and about your generous cuisine and your desire to feed us hungry people good, organically produced, nutritious vegetarian meals.
    I began ordering small orders once every couple of weeks after several months of enjoying the Monday Evening meals.

    This was my first week ordering from Community Cuisine and it has already improved my life. Having healthy, pre-made, affordable, sustainable and delicious meals at the ready has inspired me to cultivate a more balanced, health-centric lifestyle… With the exception of the apple turnovers – those will be my approved “cheat treat!” 🙂 You can taste the love in every bite of Ingrid’s recipes and I am grateful for her labor of love and goodwill!

    I have been working the last two Sundays helping to portion the food into the reusable, environmentally sustainable jars that Chef Ingrid uses. I had a catering business for 7 years and was impressed on so many levels with Community Cuisine. First, their adherence to food safety could NOT be better. This is something we all take for granted, but to properly handle, cook, cool, and package food is incredibly labor intensive. One person is in charge of just cooling the food to the proper temperature. The food is all handled with such love, respect, and care by everyone on the Community Cuisine team. This is not how food is handled most of the time in our culture today. This food is so wholesome, enlivening and delicious. I would encourage people to come attend the Community Dinner on Monday at 6 PM to taste the wonderful variety of local, organic food that is available for us right here in our own city.

    I’ve been associated with Daniel and Ingrid since her cooking love first started. And now I’m getting food every week so it’s even better than ever! I had an accident, followed by surgery and for over 3 months was pretty much home-bound. Having Ingrid’s fabulous food delivered to my home each week was for sure a “life-saver”, on many counts. My energy was quite low through much of that time so to have something ready to eat whenever I needed to was such a relief. And then to have it be the best on earth was like the frosting on a cake! I’m OK now but still getting food each week, hey, why not? Don’t see any reason to change a wonderful element in my life. Can’t thank Ingrid and Daniel enough…you really are “the best”!!!!

    This looks pretty good. I’d love to take the vegan burger class. I follow the Bright Line Eating plan which prohibits flour (of any kind) and sugar. Do any of these 4 burgers in the class fall into a flour free category?

      Hi Janet, thank you for your question. W3 do not use white or whole wheat flour in our burgers. However, a couple of the receipts use oats, oat flour or bread crumbs. One if the four recipes is completely grainfree, another one only uses millet. We hope that participants learn techniques they can apply to various recipes to adjust these recipes to their own dietary needs. Does this sufficiently answer your question?

I no longer throw out salad makings because I can’t use it all and no way am I as good a cook. ? More important to me are the concept behind Ingrid’s venture, her friendship and the camaraderie at the community dinner. Thanks for all that you do: Ingrid, Daniel, Richard and all of the staff!

    Hi Ingrid, I was not able to order for a couple of weeks, and wow did it show me how much I appreciate your food and your service, to be able to have fresh organic food waiting for me all ready to eat sitting in my fridge all week long is so wonderful.. I mix and match and add things and I know I am eating great healthy wonderful tasting food and I am not wasting food my buying too much and throwing food away when I don’t finish all of it!!     Monday Evenings have been a very nice social time for me for the past 4 months. Ingrid (and Daniel) and the kitchen crew, cook a excellent vegan meal with lot of varieties. Ingrid is very generous to share and talk about her recipes. I urge every vegan/vegetarian/veggie-motivated person to stop by on Monday to relish this meal. This is a pay as you go system, so you are welcome to decide your contribution.

    I can not express enough of my gratitude for Ingrid and her entire staff who work so hard to prepare healthy food and then give to others in need every Monday. I love every recipe that I purchase and look forward to the next menu. I have fibromyalgia and about to start school and work full time so this service is going to be especially important to me since I have to find short cuts with daily activities during this busy time to prevent flare -ups. Also, since the food has no preservatives or refined sugars, my body will have reduced inflammation as well. Strongly recommend this food service which supports the local community and is much cheaper than ordering from online food prep websites. Get the word out 🙂

    OMG – you’re my lifesavers! I can’t tell you how important your service is to me. I was introduced to you about 2 months ago and I rely on your food. It’s so tasty, nutritious and healthy and the best is, since money is very tight, I no longer waste food, throwing away what’s spoiled because I had to buy a big package or so many items just to make one dish and didn’t get to it or to use it all. You save me time and money and you take care of my “diet.” Thank you so much for all that you do!

    Hi there! My little family try’s to eat as healthy as possible though on a budget. This community dinner sounds amazing and such a beautiful concept. We are planning to come, my husband , myself and four kids. However the kids are all under 6 years of age with one being an infant and thus eat a lot less than an adult obviously…I’m wondering if someone might tell me an appropriate donation amount!? Thanks so much.

      Hi Rachelle, you and your whole family is very welcome. Sorry I cannot easily give you amount that is appropriate because ANY amount is appropriate to us. It is also not really a donation… it is Pay-As-You-Can. So please don’t worry about that… feel into what’s right for you when you are there for what you receive and for what you can afford. The pay as you can model is in place so that we make sure that nobody is turned away. Our mission is to feed everybody who comes healthy, tasty, good food no matter what they contribute. You can simply help (setup starts at 5:30, after dinner: cleanup…) if you want to do that… but if you contribute or not: you are very welcome!

      Hi Cheryl, thanks for your feedback! This is Daniel, Ingrid’s husband. At this point we have cooked food for people who had an immediate need to get fed because of their current situation i.e. there were sick, just gave birth or any other situation in which we thought having our food would make a difference. Other than that people join us for community dinner: https://yourcommunitycook.com/community-dinner/ to get fed… no questions ask. It’s a pay-as-you-can dinner and we never check how much people give. We often have left overs and end up giving those to volunteers (who we always need to setup and clean up community dinner). We are always improving what we do… this is where we are at as of now.

    I’ve been coming to the dinner for over a month and I have made it a regular weekly activity because the food is so good and I feel that I am so lucky to have this opportunity. Just by tasting the variety of foods it has inspired me to try new recipes and also try to copy the ones I am getting at the community dinner. I have to admit that I am a bit lazy and just ordering some of the foods every week I can layer them with others that i cook myself during the week and it makes my meal planning simpler and more special. The food is so delicious and healthy.

    OK, I rarely order dessert because I am not a sweets girl. I crave garlic, salt and other spices. I occasionally order dessert for my three, teenage boys. This week I ordered the Lemon Tease Cake. – 3 slices. I just downed my second slice and am hiding the third one. It is so scrumptious. Everything is scrumptious. Also, this week, I got two orders of the beat burgers. This is one of my favorites. I love eating healthy, vegan food. It makes me happy. -so appreciative of Ingrid, her family and for everyone that helps her in the process of making all this amazing nourishment. Thank you!

      I’ve been ordering from Ingrid’s Community Cuisine menu for a couple of years. During this time I’ve been totally well nourished with every tasty dish. It’s a perfect convenience for me to add ‘A JAR OF GOODNESS’ to my lunch box every day for work. Then, to be able to prepare my evening meal with fantastic ease when I arrive home fatigued from my day’s toils (at the computer)! I cannot express how grateful and humbled I was by chancing upon you, simply by looking for healthful food while at a real estate convention this past weekend where all they offered was fat-laden, sugar doused JUNK. And then I see how you care so deeply about others and give so much of yourselves, asking nothing in return. I was truly humbled by what I saw. I promised you that if I could photograph you I would post it in my Facebook page. I did that, and I placed your website there, too and told people that when in Phoenix they had to go visit you and eat the ONLY good food they will experience while at the Convention Center!     There are no words to express the gratitude that is in my heart for the love and passion that Ingrid puts into her cooking. Recently a friend shared the yourcommunitycook.com with me and I was blown away that I was able to get a weeks worth of meals for my husband and I for less that $100. But my amazement continued as each day we began to feel stronger and more energetic. Our weight is decreasing our blood sugars are decreasing and people are commenting on how much better we are looking. I can think clearer which is important as I am currently working on my masters degree. People ask if we are dieting and I tell them no, we are just eating good wholesome food made with love by Ingrid. The food is full of flavor and beautiful to look at.
