Community Cuisine Phoenix - Gourmet, Healthy, Vegan, Local Food for You

We Cooked Delicious Fresh Vegan Food For Over 12 Years For You. We closed our shop by the end of August 2022

Hello and thank you for visiting Community Cuisine – the place where many of you got your vegan food in Phoenix – delicious, healthy, and affordable. We moved to CA and we are currently not offering any service in Phoenix anymore. This is what it was:

Vegan Food in PhoenixWe are your community cooks. That’s something like chefs for a group of people who eat similar foods. We are happy to have the opportunity to serve vegan food in Phoenix AZ.

Our community of customers likes food made from scratch. Food that is prepared with fresh, nutrient-dense ingredients, mostly organically grown and from a local source if possible. Therefore, we use a great variety of plant-based ingredients. Vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds and a wide range of spices and herbs. Eating such a spectrum of plant-based vegan food may help you with health and weight issues. At the same time, you enjoy the richness of flavors of clean ingredients. That’s what our customers tell us about the way we prepare the food.

We love feeding people.

It is a very personal thing to make the food others eatorganic, vegan food, community cuisine, GMO free. We feel privileged to cook for you. It is meaningful to us to contribute to your well-being and enjoyment by making healthy foods tasty and fun to eat.

There is a more serious side to our love of feeding people. We are acutely aware of how many people in our city live in food insecurity. As many as one out of seven seniors and one out of four children may go to bed hungry on any given day in our beautiful Valley of the Sun.

We are offering a small, but meaningful contribution to a solution of the problem. Every Monday night we hold a Pay As You Can Community Dinner. There we serve our high-quality food to everyone independently of their ability to pay for it. This concept allows us to feed some in need, but also feed all that come on a different level. At Community Dinner, we share a unique experience that is rooted in the values of connection, contribution, inclusion, and compassion.

We believe keeping these values at the heart of what we do makes our food better in ways we can’t explain, but our customers can taste.

I have been a customer at Community Cuisine for over five years now. They have helped me sustain a much more healthful diet! Their preparation’s are very consistent and what has been really awesome, especially during Covid, has been their home delivery service. I am so grateful to have organic, home cooked and home prepared salads, meals, and desserts delivered right to my door. Thank you so much for giving me a happy belly! Almost forgot to mention… The desserts are to die for, or perhaps I should say they are to live for 😉 The desserts are the bomb! Thank you Dan and Ingrid and the entire staff at Community Cuisine 💜

I loved your Raspberry Cream Pie last week. I was going to split it in half, but kept eating and eating till there was only a square inch for the next day. Hope you will have this again soon.

I am also an avid Beet Lover and really enjoyed your beet burgers with the spicy dressing. Looking forward to eating these in the future.

I used Community Cuisine for several years and enjoyed the variety of dishes they provided and their commitment to sustainability and using whole and organic food sources. I stopped using their services because I moved out of state but if I ever come back I will sign up for weekly deliveries again. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend you give them a try so you don’t miss out on the tasty and nutritious food that they provide. Thanks again for all the great food over the years!

A WIN — WIN for your family and the community. We have had weekly deliveries for three years and Community Cuisine has transformed our dietary lives. We eat so much better and get the fresh vegetables and grains that people are supposed to eat to be healthy but often don’t have time to make in the rush of life. Moreover the food tastes great and there are plenty of choices. And the positive impact goes into the community. A WIN — WIN with no reservations to our enthusiastic recommendation.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it gives me the sense that we are accomplishing what we have set out to do: feeding people delicious food that makes and keeps them healthy in a way that is good for everybody and good for the planet. There is, of course, much more to do… 🙂

,You know I have been a regular patron since almost the beginning. Hence you KNOW how MUCH I VALUE your exquisite cuisine. I will continue to love you passionately because you have nourished me well. Often I could not pay, and you still provided.. Between you two lovely people is a creation of love and tranquility, likened to the Peace one feels when entering Monument Valley on the Navajo Reservation. I thank you by telling every friend and broadcasting my loyalty every day, urging friends and strangers [who quickly become friends] to taste your peace loving fare. Amazing as you are, you both keep your feet firmly on the ground! While your cuisine goes soaring to the hungry! I wish you continued prosperity. and, a Very Happy New Year! Your friend,

Having healthy, pre-made, affordable, sustainable and delicious meals at the ready has inspired me to cultivate a more balanced, health-centric lifestyle… With the exception of the apple turnovers – those will be my approved “cheat treat!” 🙂 You can taste the love in every bite of Ingrid’s recipes and I am grateful for her labor of love and goodwill!

I cannot imagine life without Community Cuisine! I was connected to the team a couple of years ago when I was experiencing an illness and too tired to cook for myself and my family. Since then and even after recovering from my illness, Community Cuisine is a staple in our home that we can’t live without. We are nourished by the food and grateful for the love, care and attention that goes into it. Thank you Ingrid, Daniel, Richard and team for keeping us healthy and offering a variety of delicious and nourishing options each week!

I no longer throw out salad makings because I can’t use it all and no way am I as good a cook. ? More important to me are the concept behind Ingrid’s venture, her friendship and the camaraderie at the community dinner. Thanks for all that you do: Ingrid, Daniel, Richard and all of the staff!

I can not express enough of my gratitude for Ingrid and her entire staff who work so hard to prepare healthy food and then give to others in need every Monday. I love every recipe that I purchase and look forward to the next menu. I have fibromyalgia and about to start school and work full time so this service is going to be especially important to me since I have to find short cuts with daily activities during this busy time to prevent flare -ups. Also, since the food has no preservatives or refined sugars, my body will have reduced inflammation as well. Strongly recommend this food service which supports the local community and is much cheaper than ordering from online food prep websites. Get the word out 🙂

OMG – you’re my lifesavers! I can’t tell you how important your service is to me. I was introduced to you about 2 months ago and I rely on your food. It’s so tasty, nutritious and healthy and the best is, since money is very tight, I no longer waste food, throwing away what’s spoiled because I had to buy a big package or so many items just to make one dish and didn’t get to it or to use it all. You save me time and money and you take care of my “diet.” Thank you so much for all that you do!

Hello Ingrid! I love your wonderful ideas and thoughts you have on everyone needs to eat. It is so true that so many people go hungry and don’t have the financial ability to buy food and prepare it. How does your food once prepared get to those who are in need or want to purchase your food? Blessings, love and gratitude for your kind heart. <3

Hi Cheryl, thanks for your feedback! This is Daniel, Ingrid’s husband. At this point we have cooked food for people who had an immediate need to get fed because of their current situation i.e. there were sick, just gave birth or any other situation in which we thought having our food would make a difference. Other than that people join us for community dinner: https://yourcommunitycook.com/community-dinner/ to get fed… no questions ask. It’s a pay-as-you-can dinner and we never check how much people give. We often have left overs and end up giving those to volunteers (who we always need to setup and clean up community dinner). We are always improving what we do… this is where we are at as of now.
I hope that answers your question. Cheers, Daniel

I cannot express how grateful and humbled I was by chancing upon you, simply by looking for healthful food while at a real estate convention this past weekend where all they offered was fat-laden, sugar doused JUNK. And then I see how you care so deeply about others and give so much of yourselves, asking nothing in return. I was truly humbled by what I saw. I promised you that if I could photograph you I would post it in my Facebook page. I did that, and I placed your website there, too and told people that when in Phoenix they had to go visit you and eat the ONLY good food they will experience while at the Convention Center! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and for what you do for our fellow human beings!

There are no words to express the gratitude that is in my heart for the love and passion that Ingrid puts into her cooking. Recently a friend shared the yourcommunitycook.com with me and I was blown away that I was able to get a weeks worth of meals for my husband and I for less that $100. But my amazement continued as each day we began to feel stronger and more energetic. Our weight is decreasing our blood sugars are decreasing and people are commenting on how much better we are looking. I can think clearer which is important as I am currently working on my masters degree. People ask if we are dieting and I tell them no, we are just eating good wholesome food made with love by Ingrid. The food is full of flavor and beautiful to look at. I have been telling all my friends and family to come and dine. The food is amazing and the service is too. I love the Sunday Community Dinner. Ingrid thank you and promise that you will continue with your dream because you are amazing and you have given us the chance that we needed to learn the benefits of good wholesome food. Thank you
    Love always,
